My Personal Message
Thank you for taking the time to visit my Angelman Syndrome Foundation fundraising page.
I will be running the San Francisco Half Marathon on July 26, 2009, to raise money for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.
My 8 year old niece, Jade, has Angelman Syndrome. She is non-verbal but communicates beautifully using the American Sign Language (ASL) she is learning. It's adorable because if you are not looking at her, she will gently cup your chin in her hand to get your attention so she can sign to you.
She is a very active child and loves playing at the park (especially the slide!) and going on rides at the amusement park. She enjoys going to school and likes doing homework.
Jade has brought so much joy into our lives. Thank you very much for your love and support.
About The Angelman Syndrome Foundation
The Angelman Syndrome Foundation is 100% funded by the generosity of donors, members, and volunteers. The Foundation serves as a focal point for advances in treatments and programs while reaching out to new populations through broader information and educational services. This means that those undiagnosed and misdiagnosed families can more easily find the answers they deserve, and the families who are seeking understanding and community can find those vital connections.
100% of your donations will go directly to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.
The Angelman Syndrome Foundation was recently awarded the prestigious 4-Star Rating for Fiscal Responsibility by Charity Navigator. This shows that donations to the ASF are being used and making an impact everyday!
