We appreciate your support. Your ASF contributions are tax deductible. ASF does not retain a solicitor and 100% of your contribution is received by the organization.

Designations For Giving
Through the support of an expanding network, ASF is in a unique position to serve as a focal point for advances in treatments and programs while reaching out to new populations through broader information and educational services. If desired, you can designate your donation to support a particular area of need within the Angelman Syndrome Foundation. Undesignated donations are put towards our general operations, giving them the ability to be used where needed most.
General Operations
This is the true backbone of the ASF. Our hardworking and dedicated office staff provides the structure for ASF to continue to support interested parties. Financial support is needed in this area to continue educating newly diagnosed families and to keep individuals informed of technological, scientific, and medical advances. In addition the ASF provides national, regional and local support systems for individuals with AS and their families. Unrestricted giving allows ASF to meet the demands of daily existence as well as the unforseen.
Educational Conference
The ASF hosts biennial conferences that promote the exchange of information and idea's for families, caregivers, educators, and medical professionals. The conferences provide needed information to families on different therapy options, self-help skills, educational options and other seminars that enable parents to care for their child. The conference also includes scientific seminars that explore the cutting edge in research available to the scientific and medical communities.
Research
Many areas of biomedical and behavioral research involving AS have been funded by the ASF. The total grant amounts distributed each year are dependent on the amount of money donated annually to the research fund.
