Vision and Communication Survey

UNC School of MedicineA team of researchers at UNC are investigating the prevelance of cortical visual impairment (CVI) in people with Angelman syndrome.

The goal of the study is to estimate how many people with AS have CVI, assess the severity and determine whether it has an effect on communication.

  • Must be diagnosed with Angelman syndrome
  • Age is between 2 and 18 years old
  • Caregiver is willing to complete an anonymous online survey about the vision and communication of your individual with AS

The section about vision should take approximately 30 minutes.  The section about communication can take 5 – 45 minutes, depending on your child’s skills.  (The two surveys do not need to be completed in one sitting.)
